The Minor and Major Arcana
Minor Arcana
The Minor Arcana cards represent the events we encounter as we journey through existence. Different decks depict numerous stories but the symbolism, lesson acquired or moral of the story is maintained from deck to deck with only a few modest modifications.
Presently there are fourteen cards in each of the 4 suits, wands, cups, swords and pentacles; which are numbered 1-10 and accompanied by the court cards Page, Knight, Queen and King.
Tarot decks do differ and now and then you’ll discover that the suit of wands is termed batons, cups referred to as chalices and pentacles are often described as coins or discs.
There are several highs and lows depicted in the suit cards, which is an insightful reflection of most people’s lives. Associating a story or a memory to a card is awesome way to remember its message and it also gives us a much better understanding of the metaphors in the card rather than merely memorising the keywords and phrases.
Major Arcana
The Major Arcana cards stand for major adjustments as well as karmic lessons. If we see several of these during the same spread then we can guarantee that there’ll be top improvements going on in our life.
The Major Arcana cards allow us to analyse ourselves, they delve into our psyche, test our flexibility and our attitudes as well as direct us towards the next level of mastery. These cards guide us along our journey and provide us the vital lessons that we would be wise to learn and understand in order for us to progress.
